The artwork “PERSPECTIVE” is a collaboration between students at Jönköping School of Engineering and students at the Royal College of Music.
The students are inspired by the 2020 Nobel Prize in literature that was awarded to Louise Glück for “her unmistakable poetic voice that with austere beauty makes individual existence universal”.
The installation is based on the poems of Glück, where she often lingers amidst the physical and the abstract. Where does one end, and another begin? The installation is made of different materials that play with the interaction between light and object. The role of music in the installation is to interpret and communicate the emotions that are portrayed in Glück’s poetry. Both the light and the music will vary depending on the visitor’s location in relation to the installation, creating new experiences constantly.
This artwork is a collaboration between a team of nine students from Jönköping School of Engineering that are doing their third year of a bachelor in lighting design, and three students from the Royal College of Music that are studying music production.
